Site Preparation for Landscape Transformation

Date:
Wednesday, September 29, 2021 -
6:30pm to 7:30pm

Are you thinking about reducing a lawn, eliminating a veggie garden, cleaning up a weedy patch, or turning a perennial bed into a flowering meadow? Fall is a perfect time to begin site preparation for next year. Unfortunately, site preparation is a poorly understood process, often given short shrift in the drive to transform an old landscape into something new.

In this one-hour talk, we'll look at ways to analyze past land uses, anticipate how that will affect future land covers, compare weed removal methods, look at realistic timelines for site transformations, and consider what it takes to thoroughly prepare a site. Extensive resource handout is included with registration.
