What does it take to thoroughly prepare a site for transformation? If you are thinking about reducing a lawn, eliminating a veggie garden, cleaning up a weedy patch, or turning a perennial bed into a flowering meadow, good site preparation is critical. Unfortunately, this important step is often given short shrift in the drive to transform an old landscape into something new. We'll compare removal methods for unwanted landscapes and look at realistic timelines for site transformations. An extensive handout is included.
Hint: Autumn is a great time to begin site preparation for next year's changes.
