5 Ways to Cover Ground (or, "Honey, they shrunk the lawn!")

Grassy lawns are the single most popular ground cover, but they are not always the best cover for a location or the easiest to maintain.

In this talk, we review strategies for covering ground and explore low-growing, durable designs. From sedum and moss, to low-mow lawn mixes, shrubs, and flowering perennials, we look at the right cover for different landscape situations. We also discuss the ecological importance of groundcovers as landscape problem-solvers. Above all, we try to answer the question: What makes a ground cover actually cover ground? This presentation is available in both one-hour and two-hour formats.
